What people have to bare in mind is that as an expensive Mancini signing , Roberto has to hope and prey that in some way Mario can come good .

While Balotelli clearly has the talent , most city fans on here realize that that talent will be put to better use elsewhere .

I think the Mario situation has been difficult for Mancini . He has tried harder with Mario to accommodate his attitude and behaviour than any other player at the club because of the history of the relationship he has with him . However although i have said before that i think Mario will become a great player , it will be at another club and not city .

City are having a tough season at present and it has not so far gone the way we all would have liked ( certainly in the champions league ) , unfortunately with Mario being cup tied for the champions league and ( as we are lead to believe ) on 170 grand a week , selling him in this transfer window i don't feel is a possibility . With the fact that we would need to offload before bringing in another player on a high salary and of the quality we need , Roberto doesn't have many options other than to persevere and play up his abilities .

I personally don't think the league will be won on goal difference this year , if we lose it , it will have been lost due to the fact that we did not add the quality of player to the squad in the close season and build on the premier league title success that we should have done , all i will say is lets not use Mario as a scapegoat because individuals at a higher level at the club didn't do there jobs properly .
