Lescott is still my preferred choice to partner Vinny. Although Nastasic is far superior in possession he isn't as commanding in the box nor as sturdy in the tackle nor as good at reading the game as Joleon.
Call me old fashioned but if my centre half can win the ball then play a 5yard pass to a team mate then I'm happy all day long. Being comfortable in possession like Nastasic is ,is far removed from being a Beckenbaueresque figure able to spray pinpoint 50 yard passes to the wing. In this day and age people are often deceived as to the quality and effectiveness of a defender based on his ball skills rather than his actual defending.
Lescott must've cleared 30 balls out of the box yesterday and didn't put a foot wrong all game, I'd keep him in there for Watford and bring Nasty back for the Arsenal game - one of the few games all season where controlling possession in all areas is key.
