He should not be the one deciding. As incredible as he has been, SAF is in decline as a manager and should be replaced when a suitable candidate is available, not when he feels like leaving as there may not be anyone ready at that time.
There is obviously going to be concern at any transition for obvious reasons but the planning for this should already be underway although you get the feeling that it isn't.
The sooner it happens the better. He will clearly always be a true legend at the club but no-one is bigger and time has to move on.
