It would appear that once again Manchester Council are encouraging drunken, loutish behaviour. They state its an alcohol free event, but thousands will descend on Manchester , who have been drinking all day and night. This is a recipe for disaster, there will be drunkeness, assaults, thefts, and various other criminal acts. The emergency services will be stetched to the limit, and manchester council will have to take the blame . The MEN will no doubt be reporting many sad stories this time tomorrow- due to drink/drug induced psychosis fueled by a frenzy of dancing to gangman style. I am afraid manchester council are very short sighted.
