Better midfield players would hide the fact our defence is dodgey. The point I was trying to make (poorly I must admit) is that we have good players in defence who just need to sort themselves out, which they will. The thing with the midfield is that we have a midfield of squad players and no top notch players. Valencia on his day is good and Cleverly is almost a quality player apart from that we lack quality.
