The only benefit of having standing (other than to appease a section of older fans who look back at the glory days thru rose-tinted spectacles) would be to improve the atmosphere. I'm personally in favour of a small standing section behind each goal one for each set of fans. The Away section would be all standing. At OT the hardcore "lads" who travel and provide us with the atmosphere would go in the Stretford End section. The tickets would be low-priced and would effectively be for "travel club" members and under-16s.. anyone who misbehaved would be removed for the travel club.

The atmosphere at OT is poor mainly because all the singers are spread out. Let's give it a go because we don't want it to end up like Rugby.
