This article is nothing more than the mischief making of a reporter with too much time on his hands, and nothing of relevance to write about!

There's no doubt that de Gea has made mistakes, some which were costly. Nor is there any doubt that he still has some way to go before he's the finished article.

However, he has fantastic reflexes, already on a par with any keeper out there, is comfortable with the ball played to feet, and is improving his command of the box all the time. Furthermore, whilst plenty has been written about his mistakes, too little has been written about the match-winning saves, that has played a part in taking us to the top of the table.

I'm in agreement with those who suggest he will be the best in the world within the next 4-5 years, although I personally think he could achieve this sooner. The concern then will be whether we can keep him out of the clutches of Spain's big two.

I also agree that if we were to look at another keeper, the lad Butland looks the best prospect in this country, and the Celtic keeper also looks like a proper keeper: Big, imposing and brutish!
