If he's sensible, he'll accept the cut and stay put because City won't offer him even the revised wages and neither will United at that price, not forgetting that whilst on the one hand Inter are threatening to sell him or not play him, on the other, when suitors come knocking they will make a huge deal about the fact that he is on a new extended contract and so they will want top dollar because being Italian they will want it both ways. Besides which, when does Fergie do business in January.....hardly ever. And with only the league and FA Cup to go for now, I still rather suspect that we are more likely to offload than buy and that is certainly the impression given by any quotes attributed to anyone at the club.
