If he's sensible, he'll accept the cut and stay put because City won't offer him even the revised wages and neither will United at that price, not forgetting that whilst on the one hand Inter are threatening to sell him or not play him, on the other, when suitors come knocking they will make a huge deal about the fact that he is on a new extended contract and so they will want top dollar because being Italian they will want it both ways.
