“Another potential issue for Ferguson, could be the players age”……..what is he too young?
We signed the likes of Yaya Toure, Mario Balotelli, David Silva, Vincent Kompany, Gareth Barry, Carlos Tevez, Pablo Zabaleta and Aleksander Kolarov when we had the lure of Europa League to play in or no European competition at all.
However, in the CL the signings we have made on Mataja Nastasic and Sergio Aguero are of any quality that have arrived, the rest are simply nowhere near good enough…….so are we supposed to believe that in order to get the best players you need to be in the CL?.....as the above proves that theory utterly useless.
Sneijder would be a good signing, but when comparing him to Silva, he would struggle to get many games, however, when comparing him to a Garcia then he would be in every week……..it is also time that some of our better young players started to get some game-time (Suarez, Guidetti, Rekik, Razak etc).
FORZA MANCINI, I will trust him to discover the right players and at least with the Spanish duo, we now have people at the helm who can tempt the top stars, as opposed to Brian Marwood who was out of his depth in that department.
MUEN have we even ever made a bid for Wesley Sneijder in the past?, as the last 2 windows, Mancini has stated he has no desire to sign or chase him…..so what has changed now?
