Even though this is just MUEN making up stories, I'm going to comment on it anyway. Getting Sneijder in would be a huge mistake as he's over the hill and would just increase the wage bill ten fold.
I also don't think we need a massive overhaul of players in January as we are second (soon to be first) in the league and possibly heading for another premiership title, so it's best not to rock the boat too much.
We do however need a few changes in January to improve the squad and seal the title.
I'd love it if we could:
Get rid of Balotelli and bring in Falcao or Cavani. We could get up to 30 mill for Mario and the deal may cost us max 20 mill, but would be money well spent.
Would love to get rid of Kolo Toure and bring in someone like Ryan Shawcross. Wouldn't affect the first team too much but really good back up for Kompany and he's only got 18 months left on his contract.
Bring in Daniele De Rossi or similar ball winning, battling midfielder. Unfortunately, don't know who we could get rid of to try to balance the books a bit. I'd be happy to get rid of Rodwell or Sinclair, but we'd never recoup the money spent on them......Why we ever bought them in the first place I don't know....has absolutely no sense at all. I don't think Garcia was a mistake I just think he needs time to settle, but the other two........
