I do, I remember Sky Sports News reminding us that "one of these two teams would end the season with nothing to show for it" and things like "let's not forget either Utd or City are going to finish this season trophyless"
They (press, pundits and media) were falling over themselves to tell us how much of a blow It's going to be to finish the season empty-handed.
But oh! Hang on, they didn't see that coming so what do they do? They completely ignore it - not a peep from them. I can't recall any comments being made about Utd finishing the season empty-handed.
