I'd like to see Jones given plenty of chances to prove himself at the base of midfield. I think he'll thrive aft er learning more about the position. It's good to hear positives about Powell too but I notice that he played in the Rooney/Kagawa role which makes sense following his success with Crewe. The trouble is, it's difficult to see him getting much game time there.

I still very let down by the team selected against Norwich which caused a needless defeat and I worry about what is going to happen against QPR. I don't buy the argument that fit players can't perform twice a week. That only applies to those carrying knocks and those who are too old.
