Realmanc - you don't get it, do you? CIty will continue to be a little club until they broaden their support. Liverpool now are a poor side but enjoy world wide success based on what they did in the 70's and 80's. Similarly United are tremendously popular because they have entertained their way to a sucessful couple of decades. Arsenal enjoy long standing support because of Wenger and his predecessors. So, of course, those teams enjoy wide support. City need to do likewise if they are ever going to break out of the financial mire they are in - despite the rubbish about long term plans spouted by City die-hards, with their current wage bill, there is no chance of them breaking even in the next decade. So, instead of posting drivel why don't you think of how little City are going to compete with the success of United, Liverpool or Arsenal - after all, you would have to accept they are light years from it at present.
