I absolutely agree with you there. What a lot of people are overlooking is that we are the ones that need catching up with new signings. We won the league with this squad because they are exactly that, a good squad. Chelsea have 25 points to make up on us, United bottled it and Arsenal just keep getting rid of their talismen, replacing them with people who will probably do very well, but not straight away. I genuinely see NDJ and Di Rossi exchanging countries but there will be no change in style or delivery there. We simply don't need any more strikers and have the best midfield and keeper in the EPL by some margin. Our first choice defence is rock solid so, to my mind, a young, talented central defender who knows he is behind Kompany and Lescott in the pecking order is our only true requirement.
