NHS treatment at its best can be excellent. And UK doctors are the best paid in the world(outside of the USA). So I am not sure it is fair to generalise in the way you do. There is sadly still poor practice and neglect of patients in some parts of the NHS however. Elderly people and those with mental health problems and learning disabilities being often highlighted as neglected areas of the service. Over the years Tameside has had more than its fair share of well documented examples.
