Tony. As I am sure you are aware, the 'Tory proposals' about Commons reform are based on the independent reviews of the Boundaries Commissions, which are carried out every five years. Your comment suggest you are either ignorant of the process, or you are intentionally seeking to misrepresent the situation.

The proposals certainly remove some of the unfair advantages Labour has as a result of current constituency boundaries no longer reflecting population levels, and therefore are obviously unpopular with those in the Labour party who want to preserve that unfair advantage. However, to quote Nick Clegg: ""By making constituencies more equal in size, the value of your vote will no longer depend on where you live, and with fewer MPs the cost of politics will be cut."

Your comments suggest you want to preserve an unfair system and to keep more MPs on the gravy train. Very 'Labour' in fact.
