I would just like to say that the Parade on Sunday was to celebrate the Battle of Minden in 1759. When the commander of the French Army, Marshal Contades is recorded as saying:
“I never thought to see a single line of infantry break through three lines of cavalry ranked in order of battle and tumble them to ruin” This was the first part of the Parade.
We ask any serving soldiers which included the cadets to leave the parade so we could Demonstrate without getting any one into trouble.
And as for not being the local regiment try telling that to the people of Bury Salford or Rochdale
