I must admit that I don’t have a massively high regard for teachers. Its been my experience that good ones are the “exception” rather that “the rule”. Largely they seem far too self important, (but that’s just my opinion)
This story just makes me laugh and is par for the course. This teacher knows the rule(s), made an application, was declined and then decided that her “need” superseded the rules and the process. Classic!!!!
She has completely lost any moral authority to apply rules to her students. How can she justify application of any rules to her students, when challenged?
However probably more worrying is her lack of self-awareness. How does she think this story and her subsequent “justification” will be viewed by “Joe Public”?
