The service provided Metrolink is the worst tram service to hit any European city FACT !. Every day this week the Altrincham to Mcr / Bury service or visa versa service has had problems / delays FACT !. Not with standing this, the organisation to put things right is unbelievably bad I.E - 24/07 @ 5.30 pm (peak period)- due to a tram failure at Deansgate at approx 2.00pm (!) we get the following trams - 2 x Eccles, 2 x Media City, 1 x St Werburghs Rd & a 20+ minute wait for the first tram single Altrincham which was like trying to get another sardine into the preverbial can. This was shortly followed by the next single Altrincham which again was bursting at the seams (Surely this is a HSE issue ?) Neither of which I jumped on. Finally @ 6.10pm the platform was fairly empty and those unfortunate commuters trying to get home after a days work unbelievably are on there way in hot humid packed conditions etc, etc. Believe it or not the next two Altrincham trams were double carriages with only a handfull of commuters gertting on. Now, firstly why send trams to the same destination one after the other ? & secondly why not send double units first !. This is surely obvious after the best part of four hours or more to think about ?. Managing the Metrolink & being a weather person are surely the easiest jobs in the world as no matter how many mistakes you make ,it doesn't matter you will still be in a job !. Would any other country in Europe put up with it ?. I await my return journey tonight ?.
