I've just been in the city gallery. What the hell have they done to the Manchester room??
They have basically remove all the related rich art and artefacts and instead have decided to use this space as a rolling exhibition space, which on the surface sounds great, but it's for a year at a time and doesn't directly relate to Manchester in any meaningful way, yet they still have the cheek to call it the Manchester room. Any associations to this city in this exhibition, are tedious at best.
This current, utterly bland and inconsequential excuse for an exhibition, does not deserve to take up valuable art space for a whole year. These people have lost the plot and don't deserve to run a gallery space, qualifications and experience or not. Some people need sacking.
