I overheard two chuggers bragging about how wrong it is getting old people to sign up to stuff but they do it anyway. Walking through Manchester these days is very unpleasant. It's like running a gauntlet of cheery chuggers; leafleters; beggars; Big Issue sellers; ambulance chasers; Sky TV pluggers; market researchers; shop front touts; free newspaper hander-outers; buskers; telephone card pushers and the like. Time most of them were banned. Come on councillors. Get your fingers out.
