In my eyes, Wayne was not a bad player - just not up to the standard we're now used to. However I do think he has held the club to ransom which means he never loved the club, so was never a true blue. We all know who are the diamonds - and they don't necessarily have to be the most gifted players. Think of Uwe, Walsh, Beagrie...they played like their life depended on it. Wayne Biggins, Paul Stewart, Imre Varadi, even Eike Immel was bothered. What matters to us blues is commitment and effort, and if you are half decent, that'll do for us!
