Any ordinary person would not take a pay cut to move jobs, just for a happier work-place. You wait until you find another employer who will at least match your wages and then you move on.

This lad is a muti-mllionaire who chose almost two years ago to stop playing competitive football in preference of carrying on being bored senseless not playing and taking the cash to train with kids and devolve himself of any self-respect.

If he had any integrity he would surely have sat down with the club over a year ago and asked to be transferred for a nominal fee to another club who - at that time - would probably have paid him 30k a week at least. That's over one point five million pounds a year.
But instead he chose to sit it out and coin in over four million a year twiddling his thumbs.
