Are poor quality foreign players restricting the careers of promising young British lads who could thrive with experience?
Are foreign imports given their chance because so few British young players have sufficient natural talent to deserve an opportunity in the first team?
United have had plenty of British trainees but even if they didn't make it with us, there aren't many who have gone out to other clubs, in the Premiership or the lower leagues and worked themselves back up, who have shown that SAF and the coaches got it wrong.
Is this because the money in the game means that young players get financially comfortable too easily and don't have the ambition to push on.
