I would strike to ghave the pensions they are being offered!
In some cases they'll get twice what i earn now in a year per year.
Oh really? So you know how much pension these doctors are paid then? I completely agree with the strike. Only 14% of their pension is paid by the government in comparison with that of 40% given to judges and magistrates - a significant difference and for what reason? Surely, the contributions should be the same?
There is no immediate risk caused by the NHS to this strike. I work for a Consultant and each patient has been look at individually by the doctor before deciding whether or not that patient's needs are classed as urgent. Please note, that all urgent patients will be seen and the doctors are all on site at the hospital should an emergency occur. It is routine patients/ clinics plus admin that is not being addressed today.
I fully support this strike. This country has completely gone to seed and the way the public sector has been treated to deal with these cuts is obscene.
