As time passes, it seems evermore clear Mario`s biggest issue is his self image, and ego.

"The day he understands that no-one wants to hurt him but rather that everyone is helping him, then we will have in Italy a champion.". That single comment is actually worrying.

Seems to me, Mario is in real danger of losing perspective completely. I can`t say I fully understand why he thinks the way he does, but ir does seem increasingly obvious, he actually believes the entire world is against him.

I have no problem with him mouthing off his displeasure as it suits him, but the bottom line is he has still not truly delivered for club and country. I still back him, but he really should explore why he willingly accepts such negativity to play such a major part of his way of seeing things.
