Have you looked at the poverty stats and in particular the life expectancy stats for the actual city of Manchester (not the pretend city of Manchester)? They're amongst the worst in the country. Barcelona looks great and let's be honest, Manchester looks like a cleaned up Bradford with more modern buildings. It's not a sophiticated eurocity in the making. It's a cast-off baby London with less and less real Manc culture and more and more overblown hype. It's embarrassing. I wan't the real Manchester back. How many locals did the BBC employ in Salford? Hardly any. This city is all smoke and mirrors and this report just adds to the hype.
