Ok Rob, I did go off on one a bit there. I saw your Daily Mail schtick and I don't know, perhaps it's the weather but it just set me off. Apologies if you were upset.Sincerely. I still dont agree with you though. Unfortunately, doctors are expensive, but it's because they take so long to train, and the level of skill and knowledge is so high, that they expect to be well paid at the end of it. But, we as the paying public get the benefits of their expertise - by and large - and so really, I dont have any complaints (medical incompetence and fraud aside of course). If what we say is that in future, we wish to pay doctors less, then we should expect less from them. Let them work normal hours, and do a normal job, and stop messing about saving or at least improving people's lives. We'll have to be happy though that the standards may fall, as the brightest minds look elsewhere for a job with some intellectual challenge and without the slating from the public they serve.
