Excellent response to Fairy Elephants ill informed and disingenuous comments;
Fairy Elephant. Do you work for one of the two local charities that are failing in their duty to acknowledge TUPE? CRI is acknowledging TUPE but are unfortunatley looking at making redundancies which is causing massive stress/anxiety amongst a lot of staff who are still expected to come into work everyday and provide a proffesional service to some of the most vulnerable members of our society. The other two charities, ADS and Lifeline, one is refusing to talk to GMW and the other is reluctantly agreeing to TUPE after trying to reject it until very recenlty being advised by their lawyers to do so. In saying this though they still haven't set up consultations with the staff to discuss this. Is this morally right? If TUPE is acknowledged then they get the same staff so they will be getting the same proffessional staff delivering the same service but in a way that even they don't know yet. This is a way privatising the NHS. Aside all this we have to acknowledge that we are dealing with real people and their famillies. We have not been able to tell the service users where to attend for their next scripts. This is not right. They are real fears out there. In additon to this lifeline and ADS are also refusing to acknowledge TUPE applies to some of their own services. The staff from MDS won't be respected if they can't respect their own staff.
