What on earth was he doing carrying so much money plus his bank card, plus his passport in his hand? The least bit of common sense tells you to at least put it in a pocket or a wallet to keep it secure!

And what was his 29 year old son doing waiting in a car when he knew his disabled father would be returning carrying a large amount of cash?

The other issue is that yet again a vulnerable person is highlighted as carrying a substantial amount of money, remember Sawari Ashraf the woman run over on Upper Brook Street? carrying £1600 when her bag was stolen, Nellie Gheraghty killed for her handbag - £200. These kinds of amounts are making muggings very attractive to low life scum, and are not normally necessary in todays largely cashless society.

Well done to those who gave the money back it's nice to know that there is some honesty still left, but for Mr Eastwood, he needs to have a long hard think about the way he carries money in future because no doubt now he's going to be a target.
