Whilst drug dependent offenders in particular will suffer as a result of this ill thought out change, let's congratulate Manchester Council for ruining the careers of many loyal, dedicated and experienced NHS staff. Having taken the contract from the NHS and given it to other providers, they have turned a blind eye to the staff who have been left without knowing what the hell is going on. The new providers are refusing to take them on claiming that TUPE regulations do not apply whilst the NHS is giving them the push with no redundancy claiming that they are now the responsibility of the new providers.
