Judge John,

I work for a well known supermarket chain here in Manchester, where we are expected to take racist, sexist or homophobic abuse on a almost daily basis. Verbal abuse is considered a normal part of most retail jobs these days, which in turn has led to an increase in violence towards shop staff.

Unless actually physically assulted, we are expected to remain calm and continue to be poilte to said customer... so if millions of people earning around £6.50 an hour are expected to act in a profesional way in spite of such abuse, why not a few footballers who have the honour of representing their country?
