So "Manchester City Centre" is Deansgate and some streets leading to it. No parade on the less affluent streets of Manchester City Centre? Just the bits near the Town Hall? The £170 Million in refurbishments Town Hall? That's good to know. Next year why not have a massive float which highlights all of the areas in the City Centre which are ignored by the council year-on-year. It could be accompanied by pictures of those Local Government people who represent constituencies they wouldn't dream of living in when there's a flat on Deansgate or a loft apartment in Chorlton to choose from. People like Pat Karney, who once said that a day in Piccadilly Gardens is like a holiday for people in North Manchester, an area he represents but doesn't actually live in. Or visit.
