By September this will have risen to nine grand. Sadly the only effective way to make a stand is to strike. Yes, this may mean that lectures are cancelled, but most lecturers will try to reschedule these lectures so it doesn't affect the students too much. MEN has stated that action will affect lectures and exams going on at the moment, for the majority of students these ended weeks ago. Without getting into a heated debate on public and private sectors and unions, why shouldn't the lecturers use the support of their union in their fight against redundancy? So come on fellow Salford students support your lecturers.
