James the Second was replaced b y his daughter Mary who ruled jointly with her husband William of orange and then on both their deaths, Anne came to the throne. If any of Anne's 13 children had lived to inherit the throne, then it could have been so different with the Stuarts remaining and the Hanovers not being invited to take the throne !!!!!
