With regards to racism in the euros and football in general. I urge you to please please PLEASE, read the excellent article in todays Daily Telegraph by one of our ex players Niall Quinn. His summing up of both Platini UEFA and Blatter FIFA is masterful. He obviously thinks these two obnoxious people are little better than cretins. He is very fearful of possible chaos should any ugly scenes develope in the competiton. People like Blatter and Platini obviously simply don't realise the The hurt, frustration and disgust that a coloured player can feel when being subjected to racial taunting and chanting. In my view NO PLAYER should be expected to just carry on playing and ignore it. As we witnessed in CITY'S game in Porto, to these blinkered guys arriving on the pitch ONE MINUTE LATE, is deemed a far greater crime than any racial abuse. As long as we have men like these in charge of the game racism will get worse not better. Just HOW DID these guys get these jobs in the first place?
