Alf Written Down, With respect, you obviosly haven't been to Germany. Hanover, Bremen, Düsseldorf, Dortmund, all cities of similar size to the City of Manchester, have far, far, far better transport systems than any of our UK cities. Now, if you wanna look at cities the size of Greater Manchester, then Hamburg, Munich, Berlin and I'll throw in Cologne for good measure, all have trams, underground and high speed local rail. Our main cities are really shocking, compared to these cities. Don't compare Manchester to Birmingham or Liverpool, just look to the mainland, that's where the standards are being set.
