Sounds right. Although I always found the fiction section in the old library pretty underwhelming. We really need a better idea of what is being disposed of here I think. Storing rooms and rooms full of lost paper that no-one knows is there or wants to see in a prime city centre building seems pointless, but once they are gone they are gone, so we can but hope everything is being properly catalogued, as much as possible digitised or stored elsewhere.

Of course this costs money and I have no doubt the council's staunchest opponents will be as happy to berate them for wasting millions on bits of paper no one wants, as they are destroying our precious heritage.
