The swastika, Deanna, came from the Sanskrit word svastika, meaning any lucky or auspicious object. It is prevalent in Hindu. Hitler, like all his paraphernalia/symbolization, borrowed it from established religions and cultures. H e invented nothing. Unfortunately the west thinks the swastika is evil and his where its true meaning is very much the opposite.
