Sadly, thanks to New Labour, GREATER MANCHESTER is left without a Mayor Boris type figure who could kick up a fuss and knock some heads together - with regard to GREATER MANCHESTER'S transport problems. Also our local media seems "totally reluctant" to question and hold our local Town Hall politicians to account too. I'm sure it would be different though, if we had a directly elected figurehead?
