The War weekend on the East Lancs Railway never looks right to me. I always thought the idea was to recreate the never-say-die spirit of a typical English town during the forties, but swastikas and SS uniforms were NOT part of that. Those who argue for a sense of reality should ensure these are part of the re-enactment battles only where it can be justified to some extent.
