I did buses for over a year. I know it's not the fault of the operators but some bus users make terrible company with their ghetto blasters, bad language, bawling, threatening behaviour, feet on seats etc. People sneeze or cough behind you and part your hair with it, giving you their bugs. It all drove me mad, (as well as being left standing waiting 25 minutes after my bus sailed past me full on the way home). If you walk into a pub that's frequented by undesirable people, you walk out and don't bother to go in there again. Well, a lot of people take the same view with public transport I'm afraid. It's called choice, but I do sympathise with many ordinary people who don't have that choice.
