Had a garden party-cheered the Queen-doesn't make me a monarchist but what I see is a woman who by a quirk took on the role of Queen to a crumbling Empire. IMO she did her job well and she connects us with our past & our future. I can't think of any equivalent public figure who has acquitted herself so well over the years in Britain and I admire this 86 year old woman. Now, about the people who "couldn't care less" they were the ones who didn't get invited to a party and were too mean or friendless to set their own up.
