True bigfatblue, and that puts me off the marquee signings anyway. Of course a top player will expect top wages, but how much more than £100k a week is enough? They are all motivated by money to some extent, nobody can blame then for that, but the real mercenary types will always be looking to move on for a bigger pay day, or their agent will be greedy for their cut of a new big deal. If we had signed Hazard I would have been excited, but would have felt guilty about it because I would expect him to be putting us through new contract will he/won't he every couple of years until he eventually moves to Madrid or Barca (or City!). I'm coming round to thinking we are better off with players who want to be here than the prima donas who will always have one eye on the exit, even if it means we don't win as many trophies as we used to. Some supporters on here think winning is all that matters, some of them have grown accustomed to success and can't contemplate anything else. I've supported Utd since 1967, there were many times we didn't win anything but my support wasn't any less in the fallow years. Winning isn't everything, it is nice when it happens, but there is more to supporting the team than basking in the glory.
