Be warned about the Manchester City Councils so called regeneration schemes.
BE WARNED!
These are tactics to offer low level budget housing to first time buyers at very high prices. The South Regeneration Team of Manchester City Council did this in Moss Side - Bowes Street over a period of nearly five years. They told GB Solutions Contractors to take on the regeneration and these contractors made a mess of the area. They destroyed the Victorian Properties. They may look the part from the outset but from inside it is all shoddy work done. Dont believe this then ask the buyers who bought the homes. They got work done on a low budget scale, so much so that today the new first time buyers are facing snagging problems and have been advised that there properties will undergo snagging related problems up to a whole year.
Manchester City Council do not care about the common layman. They are all concerned about taking credit for their so called regeneration works and nothing more.
I advise any first time buyer to first view the property with all due careful consideration. Especially if it is being sold as part of a scheme offered by the Manchester City Council.
The Manchester City Council hasnt got any funding available and it is beyond belief that they are going around selling land for £1.00. Make money from the land and invest it in to areas that are facing problems like ALLEYWAY GATING. The Manchester City Council do not have any funding yet go around selling land for a £1.00. Where is the intelligence?
