Apart from the glaring errors, what this article fails to acknowledge is that United would not be able to compete with the Mansour and Abramovich billions even if we were debt free. Mansour has spent a billion on City in four seasons - no self-sufficient club can compete with that.

We will just have to be clever about how we run our club. Personally, I am glad that we have self-imposed disciplines (primarily wages as a percentage of turnover) that will ensure stability and success for the long run.
