Crazy - the land maybe sold for a £1 when it could be generating income for the council but more over are the houses to be built being done as non profit. Or has this decision only allowed a greater profit to be made by the building industry therefore first time buyers still have to pay a lot more.

The council should be building houses directly and stop selling off council houses
