There is way too much worrying going on about the FFP rules.

I don't believe there are any ulterior motives by Platini, UEFA are just trying to protect their money-making product by preventing teams overstretching themselves (such as Leeds). They know teams like Chelsea and City are financially sound and their owners are pumping money into infrastructure, youth development and local area improvements, so will probably agree deals behind the scenes to allow them to continue if they still fall short of the rules.

After all, if the bigger teams are expelled from the Champions League, it could seriously harm UEFA's primary competition and source of money, leaving a prospective final of debt-ridden teams like Man Utd facing the mighty Otelul Galati. They also know the teams have more financial clout and better lawyers than they do and could end up in the EU courts.

So, stick that in your pipe and smoke it!
