If this is true (and we don't know who as the author has not put their name to it) then the only thing I don't like is that it sounds like RM is happpy to keep Carlos. Tev is a high maintenance player, very moody and too easily influenced by his greedy agent, plays with his head down and does not play well with Aguero who is a heads-up player.

Edin Dzeko is an old-fashioned center forward who plays best and scores when he gets service. Remember Edin's 2 goals at OT represented +4 on our goal difference at the end of the season. Remember Edin's super goals against the spuds at WHL.

So for me, our best most flexible strike force next season would be: Aguero & Dzeko; starting 3 games out of every 5. Balo & A.N.Other (obtained in a swap for Tev or Ade or both) starting 2 games out of every 5.

So for me, our best most flexible midfield next season would be wider than this season: Barry & Yaya, & Silva & Nasri; starting 3 games out of every 5. NDJ & AJ & Milner; starting 2 games out of every 5.

I am not suggesting that these guys should always start together, but I am suggesting RM could mix & match against selected opposition with these ratios for starting line-ups. RM would have more options and more formation flexibity to utilize players to avoid injuries and to play to their strengths. We have to show those reds that 2012 was not a one-time event, but that 2012 is going to be the first of many trophies. Onwards & upwards. CTID.
