I would like to add my experience of being treated at TGH.In the Dec(29th) of 2010 i was admitted to the surgical unit suffering from severe Diverticulitis.On NYE i had a Ultrasound scan(for which the radiographer stayed after his shift finish) which showed a mass on my bowel.This required a bowel resection which was carried out on 2nd Jan 2011.My treatment and aftercare were both first class and i could not have asked for better.I believe that when a person is admitted and treated, then it is only then that they can truly see what standards are really like.All the medical staff were professional and dedicated,the nurses in particular who thought nothing of staying behind,unpaid,for the benefit of their patients.That for me,was incredibly humbling.A further admission in October of last year saw the same standards of care.I really cannot praise this hospital enough,and believe you me,i speak from experience,unlike those who criticise.
